Rabbit's Rest is a sweet artwork of a napping Suffolk rabbit in a gold-leaf, wooden frame.
I have three rabbits of my own hopping around my home, whom I adore more than I can put into words. One of my favourite things to watch them do is shuffle into a "loaf" and have a quiet rest. It is a wonderful moment when a prey animal feels so content in your presence that they are comfortable resting beside you without any worry, and it's even better when they've come over for a rest and a snuggle.
Using my rabbits as models, I drew this portrait of a wild rabbit at rest. One of my rabbits, Strawberry, frequently likes to place one paw on top of the other, which I felt was too sweet not to include in this artwork.
